Secondary immune thrombocytopenic purpura (2° ITP)

Diagnosis:

• viral serologies (HIV, HCV, HBV, EBV),
• H. pylori Ab, ANA, pregnancy test,
• APLA,
• TSH,
• parvovirus, & CMV PCR.
• Anti-plt Ab tests often sent but less useful.
