Norovirus

• Transmitted via fecal-oral route, by airborne droplets of vomit, or by contaminated food or water with an incubation period of <48 hours.
• The virus decreases intestinal brush border activity and reduces fat absorption.
• Classically presents with diarrhea, vomiting.
• Treatment: Self limited, provide support/rehydration.
