General Management Principles of metastatic breast cancer

• Goal of treatment: ↑ survival, ↓ symptoms, ↑ QoL
• Give systemic therapy (endocrine, chemo, targeted);
• local intervention (eg, surgery/RT) for symptomatic control & imminent organ threat (eg, bone pain, cord compression, brain met)
• Treatment typically continued until tox or POD
• Consider clinical trial
