Metronidazole of Important Antibacterial Drug Interactions
- Ethanol
- Can result in disulfiram-like reaction. Ethanol may be present in some formulations of oral drug suspensions (e.g., ritonavir).
- Warfarin
- Can increase warfarin effects. Monitor INR closely if drugs are given concomitantly.
