Sx of Hemochromatosis

fatigue & arthralgias, loss of libido in ♂. In advanced disease (rare): bronze skin (melanin + iron), hypogonadism (esp. in juvenile onset), DM, arthropathy (MCP), CHF, infxns (↑ risk Vibrio, Listeria, Yersinia), cirrhosis (↑ risk if EtOH/fatty liver disease; 15% risk of HCC). Disease also a/w ALS (H63D homozygotes) & porphyria.
